Happy New Year ‘08
January 1, 2008 by Charlie
Last night we took the boys over to some friends house, where several couples from our Sunday School class got together. We had a good time eating, playing games and watching the ball drop in NY. It was sort of strange to see Dick Clark calling it, after having a stroke. His voice was very impaired, but kudos to him for not letting that stop him.
Micah pretty much stayed up, and Noah was up at midnight, so they got to wear party hats and Micah blew the cazoo thing and everything. We are supposed to be having some pictures emailed to us. If so, then maybe I’ll put those up here for people to see.
What were you all doing at midnight?

The kids were in bed and I was playing a little COD4. My kids were in bed 8:30. Does that make me a bad parent? They didn’t get to celebrate the coming of the New Year.
My kids were supposed to be asleep, but they didn’t cooperate.
We were laying in bed watching that Robin Williams movie License to Wed. It was an ok movie, but not super funny.
I kinda felt sad and guilty after watching that movie.
So did I. I regretted going to see it. I don’t even remember why now, I just remember I did.
Being the old fogies we are, we were sound asleep at midnight. We’ve seen too many of those balls dropping to get excited at our age.
